Chinney has completed the re-development of the “10 Wellington”, a 15-storey commercial building with 1-storey basement, for the Golden Land International Limited at 10-12 Wellington Street, Central, Hong Kong.

The “10 Wellington” is located in Central District, designed by the AGC Design Limited, offering a variety of business spaces for offices and retail shops with a total GFA of 1,340 sqm.  The elevations of the building are composed of Curtain Wall with LED lightings at the front and metal cladding with spot lights in the back.  On the 4^th and the Roof floor, there are open yard/spaces for outdoor activities, which is the prevailing provision of “10 Wellington” in Central. 

Challenges were the site location of where the building is situated at the busy and narrow street, i.e. Wellington Street, and the pandemic which seriously affected the labour and material supplied, all during the construction period.  By effective communication and liaison with all stakeholders, the project has been completed successfully and provides a semi-retail building in Central.
